The opening tax

Checked 2026-11-08. Things can change before mainnet.

Each new launch fixes a base tax of 1%, 2% or 3% when it is created.

For the first 20 seconds, curve buys pay a rate that falls from 99% down to that base tax. Sells and the creator's own opening buy don't pay this surcharge.

We measured the rate on testnet on 2026-11-02: rate = base + (99% - base) × (20 - t) / 20, where t is the number of seconds since launch.
